Oops! (and a half)

For my first Daily Create, I received the prompt to share a story of a time I accidentally broke something that wasn’t mine. The first thing that came to mind was the time I caused a fender bender between my friend’s golf cart and my other friend’s mom’s car.

This stuck out to me in my memory because it was one of the first moments of my childhood where I felt how heavy the consequences were for my actions. I had thought she wasn’t slowing down, but by trying to help I made it worse. Luckily the damage wasn’t bad enough to need repairs (just a scratch on the bumper and scrapes/dent on the cart) but the message got across.
